Group Project Resources

Project 1 – deliverable 2 (10 points) released on Sept. 13, and due on Sept. 29 before the class.
Report length: 5-page maximum, 1.5 line space; font: popular types such as Times with size between 11 and 12

Requirements:
1 (report, 4 points) - Define a case study where interactive online presentation and analysis of geospatial 
data is interesting and valuable, and identify your needs for sharing and analyzing specific spatial data 
to facilitate the case study 
2 (report, 3 points) - Use Entity-Relationship (E-R) modeling to capture and describe key data characteristics
3 (report, 3 points) - Use Object-Oriented modeling (O-O) to capture and describe key data characteristics

Modeling diagrams and their descriptions are expected for both E-R and O-O.

Project 2 (10 points) released on Oct. 4, and due on Oct. 25 before the class.
Report length: between 3 and 5 pages, 1.5 line space; font: popular types such as Times with size between 11 and 12

Requirements for Project 2:
1 (report, 3 points) - Identify and explain spatial elements that are related to your project
2 (report, 3 points) - Describe how these spatial elements are incorporated and managed based on PostGIS
3 (hands-on, 4 points) - Access and manipulate your data via Python programming


Project 3 (10 points) released on Nov. 1, and due on Nov. 17: 2pm (CST).
Report length: within 3 pages, 1.5 line space; font: popular types such as Times with size between 11 and 12

Requirements:
1 (hands-on, 5 points) - Import all your spatial data into GeoServer
2 (report, 5 points) - Describe the steps (note: these are not the tutorial steps, 
  you need to do some research) GeoServer takes to import your data


Project 4 (10 points) released on Nov. 30
Deliverables for steps 1 and 2 should be submitted as Jupyter Notebook with a link
Report length: within 3 pages, 1.5 line space; font: popular types such as Times with size between 11 and 12

Requirements:
1 (hands-on, 3 points) - Visualize all your spatial data as map layers using OpenLayers
  Due on Dec. 6 during class
2 (hands-on, 3 points) - Retrieve and present attribute information based on spatial queries
  Due on Dec. 6 during class  
3 (report, 4 points) - Based on your hands-on experience, describe implementation details for step 2
  Due on Dec. 14 before 5pm
