Group Project Resources

Project Deliverable 1 (15 points) released on Sept. 12, and due on Sept. 26 before the class.
Report length: 5-page maximum, 1.5 line space; font: popular types such as Times with size between 11 and 12

Requirements for Project step 1:
1 (report, 5 points) - Define a case study where interactive online presentation and analysis of geospatial data is interesting and valuable, and identify your needs for sharing and analyzing specific spatial data to facilitate the case study 
2 (report, 5 points) - Use Entity-Relationship (E-R) modeling to capture and describe key data characteristics
3 (report, 5 points) - Use Object-Oriented modeling (O-O) to capture and describe key data characteristics

Modeling diagrams and their descriptions are expected for both E-R and O-O.

Project Deliverable 2 (15 points) released on Oct. 15, and due on Oct. 29 before the class.
Report length: between 3 and 5 pages, 1.5 line space; font: popular types such as Times with size between 11 and 12

Requirements for Project step 2:
1 (report, 5 points) - Identify and explain spatial elements that are related to your 
  project
2 (report, 5 points) - Describe how these spatial elements are incorporated and managed 
  based on PostGIS
3 (hands-on, 5 points) - Import and organize your data into the CyberGIS Gateway


Project Deliverable 3 (15 points) released on Nov. 5, and due on Nov. 19: 5pm (CST).
Report length: within 3 pages, 1.5 line space; font: popular types such as Times with size between 11 and 12

Requirements:
1 (hands-on, 8 points) - Import all your spatial data into GeoServer
2 (report, 7 points) - Describe the steps (note: these are not the tutorial steps, 
  you need to do some research) GeoServer takes to import your data


Project Deliverable 4 (15 points) released on Dec. 3
Report length: within 3 pages, 1.5 line space; font: popular types such as Times with size between 11 and 12

Requirements:
1 (hands-on, 8 points) - Visualize all your spatial data as map layers using the CyberGIS Gateway
  Due on Dec. 12 during class
2 (report, 7 points) - Based on your hands-on experience, describe how you plan to implement your
  visualizations using OpenLayers
  Due on Dec. 19 before 5pm
