Design Assistant I

Rate: 8-11$/hr

Hours: 10 hrs/week – flexible work schedule

Job Starting Time: begins immediately

Job Description:

We're looking for a creative student who can play an important role in communicating the work of the CyberInfrastructure and Geospatial Information Laboratory (CIGI), starting immediately. Our ideal graphic design student is organized, loves details, is able to work independently, and works well under tight deadlines. We expect the person would design flyers, websites, graphics and graphical user interfaces. A background in Art and Design is highly desirable.


As part of the application process please submit some samples of work you have done. Work done as part of a class or volunteer project is also okay to submit but please identify your contributions clearly.


Sophomores and Juniors who are able to continue working during summer and the next academic year are preferred. Stipend depends on qualification and experience. Position extension after the first semester depends on performance and availability of funding.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  2. Experience in designing website, flyers;
  3. Organized and detail-oriented; and
  4. Ability to work independently with multiple task.
