  3. Working on creating a weekly inventory spreadsheet for tracking when the lab needs to re-order supplies.
  4. Working on creating my own procedure manual for travel, time sheets, ordering equipment, etc.

Week of July 18, 2011

  1. Updated door tags for all lab rooms (still need to printed), updated and revised meeting minutes (https://www.cigi.illinois.edu/doku.php/internal/cigimeetingminutes), created design template for AHM website, created Doodle/internal wiki signup for 7/29 dinner (https://www.cigi.illinois.edu/doku.php/internal/signup), updated reimbursement forms, ongoing inventory of lab supplies.

Current GIS-related Work

I am currently utilizing the free ArcGIS10 ESRI virtual courses which UIUC provides access codes for. My goal is to finish four courses each week. My research interest within GIS is using geographic information systems to better understand where water scarcity exists geographically and how GIS softwares can be used to create possible solutions to this problem.
