Tao Lin obtained his B.S. in BioSystems Engineering from Zhejiang University, China, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Tao's primary research interests focus on the integration of Information Technology with Agriculture, including large-scale spatial and temporal data collection and management, bio-based systems (Biomass-to-Biofuel and Grain-to-Food) simulation and optimization modeling and analysis, and CyberGIS-based complex spatial decision support platform development.
