Projects

Current projects range from investigating computationally intensive spatial analysis and modeling for solving large-scale and/or multi-scale spatial problems in multiple application domains such as energy, public health, and sustainability science; developing national and global cyberinfrastructure capabilities (e.g., the Open Science Grid and NSF XSEDE); application- and user-level virtual organization services (e.g., resource monitoring, discovery, and scheduling) in the context of geospatial problem solving environments; middleware for cyberinfrastructure-based GIS (e.g. GISolve); parallel computing of geospatial visual analytics; to CyberGIS and computational science approaches to understanding complex spatiotemporal dynamics.
