  • Inconsistency found while giving technical report on Oct 29, 2009 by Anand.
    • Using rank-based stochastic movement the variance in height should have no, or very little, effect on performance
    • After some investigation there was a subtle bug in the environment generation code that chopped off the tail portion of the surface (could not be seen in visualisation and difficult to identify numerically by hand) normal-surface-bug
    • I will re-run experiments with new surfaces and report the new results next week
